BE PREPARED: EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS (EP)
What is Emergency Preparedness?
MDOD envisions a Maryland where people with disabilities will be prepared for any natural or man-made disaster or emergency, and be able to take care of their own basic needs for a minimum of 72 hours without formal emergency management assistance. Emergency personnel, provider agencies and employers will be as well prepared to deal with all major issues related to individuals with disabilities during any natural or man-made disaster or emergency, as they are to deal with issues faced by individuals without disabilities.
